![]() Blending the unique vocal style of singer Vic Fuentes, incendiary guitar lines and soaring melody, the band's third album is an aural exploration that at once both packs a punch, while finding the pockets of calm in the chaos - a talent that has made the band such a refreshingly exhilarating force in the scene. But with the release of stunning new album Collide With The Sky, the San Diego natives are truly en fuego.ĭeploying every shred of musical prowess in their artillery, Pierce The Veil have poured heart and soul into new album Collide With The Sky - and it shows. Jaime Preciado // Bass & Unclean VocalsĮmbracing their defiant brand of progressive post hardcore and gaining a rabid fan base thanks to their incredible live show, Pierce The Veil have become a hot commodity over the past few years. ![]() Then, from "And now Cinderella's gone" to "Feels like I'm not the only one now" it seems like the singer is trying to get Drella to see that they should be together, and he'd wishing she would see it.įinally, the rest of the song just seems like he's wishfully thinking to himself about her as he perhaps is driving where they drove before while he was comforting her (it's mentioned earlier in the song something about driving).īut, that's just what I got from reading the lyrics:) You may disagree.Pierce the Veil is a post-hardcore band from San Diego, California that was formed in 2007 (That covers from "Tonight the center of the sun will separate into sparks" to the second, "Tore it off your wrist tonight." The lyrics in the chorus was inspired by Thom Yorke’s friend R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe who suggested that in order to cope with the stress associated with touring and being on the road, he should pull the shutters down and say, I’m not. So sex may have been involved in the "cheering up" process, lmao.Īnyway, then between all this, the singer (I don't know the lead's name, sorry) kinda had feelings for Drella.? And all this meant more to him than to her. This isn’t just the saddest Radiohead song but it’s one of the most depressing tracks ever written. And the bracelets, I agree, reminds me of sex bracelets. General CommentThe beginning, from "You're busy drawing hearts." to the second "Murder ring" makes me think about a girl (I'll call her Drella, because that makes sense) was with some other guy, and they broke up, or something.? Then from "And how did you get into my house" to the first "Tore it off your wrist tonight" gives the notion that perhaps he's trying to comfort Drella, because she came over to his house all distressed-like and he was trying to help her. Or the night we snuck out your window, Oh Favorite Verse (s): I wanna hold your hand so tight. It’s the seventh track on the album and is honestly just a bop. They're climbing up the sky and down the dark Vic Fuentes, the lead singer of Pierce The Veil (PTV), says that this song is about being obsessed with someone to a dangerous extent. ![]()
